Building LotBuilding Log

A Building Log is a great way to keep track of your work. I made an Excel file that records the date, component, work completed and times that I worked. I also have pages attached to this log that keep track of the amount of money spent on the project and of the specialized parts and materials that I need to buy. When I complete the project the log will become the record that the FAA requires so that I can prove who built the airplane.

Since there are many parts to be made, it is easy to forget what parts are finished and which ones need to be made. The Parts Inventory is part of the building log.
