A Pan Brake is used to bend sheet metal. The brake shown above can make a bend up to eight feet long in a piece of heavy gauge sheet metal. Most builders have smaller, table-top bending brakes capable of making bends up to 30 inches.

This table-top Hand Brake is used for making bends up to 30 inches wide in light gauge aluminum. It requires a few C-clamps to hold the material in place.
